  Prayer
Various Bible Studies meet to study and pray
over the Bible to continue your growth in faith.
Prayer is also key during our worship service.
The Prayer Chapel is a quiet place to grow your
faith and be in touch with the Lord.

Serving
The Groton United Methodist Church provides
many opportunities to serve in the name of
Christ. There are many groups working
towards enriching the lives of our community.
Please feel free to discuss ways you can live out
your faith in Christ and serve.

Foundation
  Recognizing that the Permanent Endowment
Fund is vital to the continued growth and
security of the Groton UMC, it was created to
receive permanent gifts to ensure the future of
the Groton UMC and its ministry. Its basic
purpose is to provide members and friends
opportunities to make charitable gifts to the
Groton UMC that will become a permanent
endowment of financial support and a living
  memorial.
The Endowment Program is intended for
purposes that are not a part of the church’s
  established programs, which are funded
through the annual operating budget of the
church and the regular giving of its members.
The principal of the gift is invested and the
interest from that principal may accumulate or
be used to provide funds for ministries beyond
the annual budget of the church.
You can become an integral part of Groton’s
continuing church history and ministry of this
congregation by helping us establish a living
endowment. This starts with your gift of any
size; you can make additional contributions
throughout your life as the Lord blesses you
and in death through your estate.

  Missions
The Missions Committee is dedicated to
supporting community projects. Be sure to
assist us with doing mission work as Jesus did.

Funerals/Memorials
A meal or lunch may be served at the request
of the family. The funeral menu choices are: A)
scalloped potatoes and ham, vegetable (green
beans or corn), buns, pickles (optional), bars or
cake, coffee, and one other drink. B)
sandwiches, chips, pickles, bars or cake, coffee,
  and one other drink.
Memorial gifts are traditionally given at the
time of a person’s death. But, memorial gifts
do not always have to come at a person’s
death. One may make a memorial gift on the
anniversary of someone’s death or on another
date significant in the life of the individual.
Honor Gifts are gifts given in honor of someone
who is still alive. It is a celebration of one’s life,
an anniversary, birthday, or just to say “thanks”.
